Julianne Moore reveals her fair share of teases for having a flaming hair!
The Academy Award winning actress, who crowns her fiery locks gorgeously, admits that she was once bombarded with a lot of teasing from her schoolmates about her appearance.
It took time for the flaming actress to love herself from being different.
“At school I did get teased about it,” she said. “You want dark or blonde hair like everybody else in the room. But I got to a place where I didn’t really think about it.”
Moore, who is married to Bart Freundlich, has two children Caleb, 12, and Liv, 8, who inherited her fiery locks.
“I have a little girl who has dark auburn hair and a little boy who has light red hair and I think it looks beautiful,” she said.Julianne was once married to John Gould Rubin in 1986, nine months later their marriage fell apart and ended in divorce.
“I spent a lot of my 20s concentrating on my profession and neglecting my personal life,” she said. “And you reach a point where you say to yourself, ‘Wait a minute. I want a life.’ “

Julianne Moore is voicing her support for same-sex parenting after playing one-half of a lesbian couple in The Kids Are All Right earlier this year. “There are so many gay families — so many two moms and two dads — and very normal, very idiosyncratic, really regular American families happening all over the place,” Moore, 49, says. “In my life and in my children’s lives, gay families are just part of the fabric of their world. We know plenty of families with two moms and two dads, and you know, they’re just the same as we are.”

The Kids had a more-than-alright debut, as director Lisa Cholodenko’s modern family comedy opened to a fantastic $505,000 at seven theaters in the U.S. and Canada.
The $72,127 average gross per theater for Focus Features’ critically beloved Sundance acquisition was the highest for any movie released so far this year.
Movies playing to art house crowds usually do most of their business at night, but Focus distribution chief Jack Foley noted that Kids, which is about two women’s teen children who find their sperm donor father, also did extremely well in Saturday matinees. That signals interest in the film was broader than expected.
The Kids Are All Right, starring Annette Bening, Julianne Moore and Mark Ruffalo, did its best business at Hollywood’s ArcLight Cinemas, the one theater it played in Los Angeles, where the movie takes place.
Focus has an aggressive plan over the new few weeks to build on opening weekend momentum as it attempts to turn a profit on the $5 million it spent for distribution rights to The Kids at Sundance. On Friday, the movie will expand to 37 theaters.

Julianne Moore was shocked by how graphic her sex scenes were in her new movie The Kids Are All Right.
The 49-year-old actress plays a lesbian in the comedy and is involved in several erotic sequences with costars Annette Bening, 52 and Mark Ruffalo, 42.
And Julianne was surprised when she first saw the film as she didn’t remember things getting so physical during shooting.
“There is stuff I don’t actually remember doing,” she told The Daily Beast. “When I saw the movie, I was like, ‘Did we do that?’ There’s a lot of moving around. I don’t remember it being that physical. But we wanted it to be funny and we really relied on each other.”
In the movie, Julianne and Annette play a lesbian couple, who are the mothers of two children conceived via artificial insemination.
The couple face a dilemma when their oldest child decides to contact the sperm bank so she and her brother can find their dad, who is played by Mark.
Julianne is no stranger to graphic scenes having played an incestuous mother in drama Savage Grace, a porn star in Boogie Nights and a lovelorn gynecologist making out with Amanda Seyfried‘s call girl character in Chloe last year.

Julianne Moore has revealed that she liked not knowing what would happen on 30 Rock.
Moore appeared on the show as Nancy, a love interest for Jack (Alec Baldwin).
Jack eventually proposed to Avery (Elizabeth Banks) after discovering that she is pregnant but Moore has now admitted that she wanted him to choose Nancy.
“Of course, I’m always going to pull for Nancy,” she told Entertainment Weekly. “I had a great time on the show. I loved them so much.”
She continued: “I think it’s important to keep things hoppin’ on 30 Rock. You never know what they’re going to do. That’s the beauty of it. You literally can get a script on a Thursday before they shoot it. I think everybody in the cast reads it and doesn’t know where it’s going to go.”
Moore also hinted that Nancy could return in the future, saying: “She’s not dead yet! Who knows.”

She’s currently winning raves as one half of a lesbian couple in the Sundance sensation The Kids Are All Right, but Julianne Moore already made an impact this year in a recurring role on 30 Rock as Bah-ston native and Jack Donaghy mistress Nancy Donovan. Moore discussed her feelings on how Jack left things with Nancy on the show’s season finale and what’s at the top of her must list this summer.
ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: Were you hoping Jack would choose Nancy over Avery on 30 Rock?
JULIANNE MOORE: [Laughs] Of course, I’m always gonna pull for Nancy! I had a great time on the show. I loved them so much. I think its important to keep things hoppin’ on 30 Rock. You never know what they’re gonna do. That’s the beauty of it. You literally can get a script on a Thursday before they shoot it. I think everybody in the cast reads it and doesn’t know where its gonna go.Do you think Nancy will return?
[In thick Bah-ston accent] She’s not dead yet! Who knows! So you’re on our summer must list — what’s on yours?
Paddleboarding! I’m gonna learn how to paddleboard. And I’m really afraid. It looks like a surfboard but it’s a paddleboard — you stand on it with an oar. Surfers who do it paddle in the ocean and go with the waves. I plan on doing a much tamer kind of paddleboarding. We have a lake behind our house in Long Island. And I’m gonna get [a paddleboard] and just try to stand up on it and move around a little. I’m really afraid! I see the people do it in the very early morning. I’m gonna get myself a wetsuit so the impact of hitting the water again and again won’t feel so horrible. I think it looks really beautiful. It looks easy. I know its not, but it looks easy. It’s something I feel ready to challenge myself with.

Hollywood beauty Julianne Moore literally got hot while filming lesbian sex scenes with Annette Bening as they had to make love beneath a huge blanket.
The redhead almost fainted while filming the scenes for The Kids Are All Right and her director Lisa Cholodenko was worried while shooting, reported New York Daily News.
The 49-year-old actress is involved in several erotic sequences with Bening, 52, and the pair were left stifled by the thick bed linen.
“Julianne had to spend a lot of time under it, and I started to get really worried. I kept asking Anne, is she suffocating down there?’ and Julianne would reply, ‘I’m fine under here, let’s keep going!’,” said Cholodenko.
In the comedy, Moore and Bening play a lesbian couple, who are the mothers of two children conceived via artificial insemination. The couple face a dilemma when their oldest child Joni, portrayed by Alice in Wonderland star Mia Wasikowska, decides to contact the sperm bank so she can find her dad.

Actress Julianne Moore is calling on U.S. legislators to legalize same sex marriage, insisting people of all sexual orientations should have the same rights.
The The Hours star, who plays a lesbian with Annette Bening as her partner in new movie The Kids Are All Right, admits she is dismayed that gay couples have been banned from celebrating their love in a traditional wedding ceremony.
So she has thrown her support behind a campaign to turn it into law, especially in her hometown of New York City. She tells WENN.com, “Absolutely, everyone should have the same rights. It’s a right, no one should be denied that.”
Moore isn’t the only famous New York resident to lend her voice to the same sex marriage campaign — Sex And The City star Cynthia Nixon has been campaigning for the cause for the past year so she can wed her partner Christine Marinoni in the Big Apple.

American actress Julianne Moore has expressed interest in returning to NBC show “30 Rock” next season.
Moore, the fiery red-head, appeared in five of last seasons episodes and loved every minute of it.
She played an Irish American, Nancy Donovan, who had a thing with Jack (Alec Baldwin).
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Moore said she would love more than anything to return to the show but is not sure if it will ever happen.
“It seems like she has bowed out of the Jack race because of [Avery's] pregnancy,” she said.
“But I hope in some way she gets to come back. If they asked me, I’d be there in a second.”
Guest star Matt Damon is reportedly also hoping to return to the show in the future.
